We leave for Brejo Grande on São Francisco River, we navigate to the direction of Povoado do Cabeço, where “ Velho Chico “ flows into the sea, enjoying the wonderful scenery of the area like river islands, dunes, coco-nuts plantations, rivulets, that give you a natural spectacle at the frontier of the States of Sergipe and Alagoas. On arrival we will have time to take a sea and river bath in Alagoas State. Early afternoon we will to Piaçabuçu City - Lunch (shrimp, fish, meat, chicken, salads, and normal garnish). Virgin and unexplored beaches.

Famous land of Tieta, romance of Jorge Amado, we will follow the south littoral, with ferry-boat crossing ( 10 minutes ), stopping at Praia do Saco to get a wonderful view of dunes, coco-nuts plantations, sea, etc. We follow to Porto do Mato where we cross the rivers Piauitinga and Real by boat ( 10 minutes ). When we arrive to Mangue Seco we will have jeeps for rent and drive in the dunes and through coco-nuts plantations ( natural sets of the TV novel Tieta do Agreste ) until the best point to stop for a swim. Lunch and jeep rental are optional.

XINGÓ - CANYON´S DO RIO SÃO FRANCISCO

XINGÓ- CANYONS OF SÃO FRANCISCO RIVER DURATION 12 HORAS 210 KM

We leave for Canindé do São Francisco Through arid lands, passing the California Project of Irrigation, where the contrast is radical, plantations of grape, acerola, apple, bean in the middle of the remote interior. On “ Velho Chico “ is the majestic Hydroelectric Power Station of Xingó with a reservoir of 60 km2 that forms immense canyons. We will take the Catamaran Delmiro Gouveia, Cotinguiba or Maria Bonita boat to know this marvel that the nature with help of the man gives to us, with stop for bath in a moor-place in the middle of the canyon that serves as dive base for until 150 meters deep. The duration of Catamaran Navigation is 3 hours. On the way back we stop for lunch (optional) Arqueology Museum and observation deck Xingó.

Let’s will stop for a sea bath and lunch in Pirambú beach. Early afternoon we will follow to Laranjeiras, founded in 1594 on Cotinguiba River, it was the origin of the economy of the State of Sergipe, based in sugar-cane cultivation. As legacy of that period Laranjeiras has today the largest concentration of brave black race population in this State. We come back to Aracaju City late afternoon.
